Klem midi-dress (English)

€6.00

Klem is a minimalistic and long knitted dress. It hits you in the mid-calf and it has a very relaxed straight fit. The standout features include a chunky neckband and relaxed long sleeves. Klem is the perfect outfit for autumn and winter and I promise you wont want to wear anything else than this! <3

Klem is knitted from the bottom up in one piece up to the armpits. After the armpits, the front and back pieces are knitted separately in stockinette to full length. The sleeves are knitted in the round from top to bottom, and sts for the sleeves are picked up directly from the armhole. The shoulders and upper part of the sleeves are shaped with German short rows. Klem has a relaxed fit and a long hem. The hem can be easily adjusted to suit your taste and length!

Sizes
XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

Fit
The Klem dress has a relaxed fit and long sleeves. It is designed to fit with +20-25 cm positive ease to the hip circumference and +30 cm positive ease to the chest circumference.

I am wearing a size M, my chest circumference is 90 cm and my hip circumference is 100 cm. Choose a size that’s 20-25 cm more than your chest circumference and 30 cm more than your hip circumference (measured from your hip bone).

Measurements
Chest circumference: 105 (115) 125 (135) 145 (155) 165 (175) 185 cm
Length: customisable for your preferred length (total length of the sample is 124 cm)
Sleeve length (armpit-cuff): 52 (53) 53 (54) 54 (55) 55 (55) 55 cm

Gauge
17 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm stockinette stitch with 4 mm

Needles
4 mm circular needle (80 cm and 40 cm)
3 mm circular needle (80 cm and 40 cm)
3 mm double-pointed needles

Materials
800 (850) 900 (1000) 1050 (1150) 1200 (1250) 1350 g Aran weight yarn (depending on hem length)

Materials are calculated for a medium-height person (164 cm), so if you are significantly taller/shorter than this, you’ll need more/less yarn.

Or another worsted / aran weight yarn, such as Drops Alaska, Nepal, Karisma, or Big Merino. Remember to check the gauge when changing yarn. Switch to a larger needle if you get too many sts for 10 cm. For example, Alaska and Nepal probably work better with a size 5 mm needle.
